My First Acting Class $330 Purchase required to enroll
A creative introduction to the land of purposeful make-believe, where children learn to take situations and make them real and without a script. They are introduced to the very basics of how TV, film, and stage works . Children develop their own monologue based on their own experience to deliver alone to an invited audience by the end of the year. Prerequisites: while reading skills are helpful, they are not 100 percent necessary.

Students learn the basics of acting through improvisation, theatre games and exercises, creating characters and simple monologues and scene study. Instructor is an American Academy of Dramatic Arts Honors graduate and former talent coach for Disney Radio.

Practical techniques for theatre and on-camera acting. Includes creating characters, original monologues, and more advanced scene study.

This class aims to immerse students in specific skills for choosing actions, creating characters, and crafting realistic behavior on stage. We will study practical exercises . Each day will have a different focus: memorization techniques, character biographies, text analysis, playable actions, vocal and physical characterization, emotional association techniques, and everything you need to bring life and “reality” to whatever you perform. Become the kind of actor that is known for having craft and be on your way to working with the technical specificity and mindset of a craftsman.
Spring "Young Shakes"- Intro to Shakespeare -"A Midsummer Nights' Dream" $330 Purchase required to enroll
"School's Out! And the comedy begins with a Midsummer Night's Dream. Four lovers, having an argument in the Athenian woods at midnight, are confused by fairies who are only trying to help. Throw in some magic, a custody battle over a little boy, and an amateur actor who unsuspectingly becomes the fairy queen’s love interest… oh and a magic set of ass’s ears… and there you have it - A Midsummer Night’s Dream, a comedy.

Voice Over: Radio & Commercials - Spring 2017 $450 Purchase required to enroll
Students learn the ropes of acting on a mic with a professional sound sytem and established voice coach, CJ Critt as their guide. Lecture includes DFW market audition, the job, follow-up, self-promotion, the union and agencies. Each student receives private coaching and studio time.
